Reskate Arts&Crafts is a Barcelona based graphic studio and workshop that develops of handmade nature, always aware of sustainability. Formed by Javier de Riba and María López. graphic designers and illustrators from Barcelona and San Sebastián respectively. Their work falls into the categories of handcraft, graphic design, illustration, photography, video and installations. The studio was born following the 2010 project Reskate, devoted to rescuing broken or abandoned skate boards and reusing them as a legitimate canvas for artistic expression. In such a way, they tried to bring attention to wasteful use of resources by combining skate, recycling and illustration and making a point about the will to keep on working of a collective that is currently living delicate times.”
